What’s experiences without its struggles

For me, Travelling is an experience where you would enjoy, face issues and also learn something from it. I have faced a lot of issues while travelling across India or even in Chennai.

For me, Personally, I don’t like to travel in AC Cars as it a nauseating experience for me. Travelling in AC Cars gives the symptoms of extreme headache, vomiting and sometimes I can’t even breathe. Whenever I travel in AC Cars, I would open the windows of the car for me to absorb the free air to breathe in. It is also called Motion sickness but I really don’t like travelling in AC Cars to any places, unless it is some urgency for travelling. Also, I feel like it gives me the importance of breathing the fresh air of the spot rather than the oxidized air which is pretty much suffocating me.

Another Issue I faced is when my family and relatives travelled to the Rameswaram river for doing a death custom due to a close one’s death. We were in a huge number of people on 3-4 trucks started from my father’s village to the Rameswaram river. The custom was to dung in the river 3 times so that all the sins will be off from our body. I saw my relative’s children’s who were of very small age, catching their parents dress of being afraid to dung into the river. I was with my parents and we went into the river for it. The first time was fine but the second time, I went very much into the water and when I lost the grip of my mom hand with whom I was holding on. I felt that this was the last day. I was not able to breathe in and was about to bounce back but I wasn’t able to do it. I tried harder and harder and at last, I caught someone’s dress and came up. Still, I was made to do the last one!

People waiting in the queue to see the lord Tirupati. PC: TTD site.

Waiting – I think pretty much everybody would have faced this issue of waiting in the queue to get Dharshinam (Blessing) from the Tirupati Devasthanam. Yes, I was among the millions of people with my family where we waited to see the Tirupati god in the long queue stretching like an anaconda. For the pain to go off, I used to keep my legs in the bars and sometimes we sit in the queue as seeing the god on special occasions takes a lot of time. With that waiting, we also get hungry so we mostly eat well before standing in the queue.

Likewise, I faced another issue when I was asked to stay in a camp at Uthandi without my parents and adapt to it. It was for the Karate camp where I was challenged to stay along with my fellow karate friends. I was late for the camp and they started the teaching in the room. My mom dropped me off in the class where I was asked to figure out quickly a partner to stay with, drop things in the room, arrange a few things for exciting games, etc. I learned to plan quickly, adapt to it successfully, and even got a close friend with the bond we shared in the room.

Air pollution in Delhi. PC: Time

Now, coming to Delhi, you know where I am heading to, right? Delhi’s climate was Hot as hell and the pollution over the heavy traffic just didn’t help me at all to travel freely. We, as in my parents and I weren’t able to step out of the car to visit places thinking that it will burn us! We brought so many umbrella’s, hats and a hand fan to breeze out the heat radiating from our body. Whenever we go out and reach back to the relative’s house, we immediately turn on the AC and just rest out.

The exact opposite was Ooty’s climate, it was so chilling when we stayed there. My lips were drying off often times and I was shivering like a cold baby. My parents brought me a lip balm which I used all time to make my lip’s skin bring back to its life. We went to Ooty with sweaters and it was so comfy and we always had HOT food so it was enjoyable to experience such as the cold climate of 0 degrees Celsius.

Then, the most common issue of Traffic jams is what I usually faced during many travels even in Chennai but most ones were Delhi due to heavy pollution it was extreme but it was a learning experience.

As I said earlier, for me, travelling is an experience and I had a lot of issues but I also learned to experience it and adapt to the situations which is why the issues that I faced are more of an experience rather a problem for me. Without issues, life would be boring and with these issues only I can reminisce the places that I have travelled so Ignore the issues and enjoy at the spot for the experience that is going to be in your mind lifetime.

A live Seafood Restaurant over the ECR – Thoondil Restaurant

I love seafood. There is nothing more I like than a plateful of fried fish or buttery garlic prawns on a bed of crispy salty onions. Thankfully for me, I get to indulge in my love ample of times because I reside in the area of ECR, Chennai.   A View inside the Thoondil Restaurant, Paniyur, ECR PC: Vijaya Shankar O Being in ECR, I was blessed with an abundant bounty of seafood. Thoodil at Akkarai is a unique live seafood restaurant articulating your foodies with a spicy and tasty variety of kinds of seafood. The ambiance of the restaurant is serene mainly courtesy of the lovely green surroundings nested in. In Tamil, the meaning of Thoondil is fishing rod and the USP of the restaurant seems to be its outdoor setting where the entire restaurant is laid out in a large garden. Sturdy furniture fashioned out of heavy rough wood is placed around the garden in various nooks and corners. Few large huts are erected about the garden to house the sitting area. Dining at Thoodil will be a ...

A long and everlasting travel in the cities of North India.

I always had a wish to travel to many cities and exploring their beauty. We, as in my family, were deciding on it for days and chose to travel to the northern part of India. We chose cities like Delhi, Agra, and Gwalior so that we can accompany my sister who was staying at a rented house in Gwalior for her studies. Our trip began soon after we booked a cab from home at 7:00 am to reach the Chennai Airport where we can catch our flight to the City of Delhi. On reaching there, I was astonished to see the so-developed infrastructure of the Chennai airport as most of the times, I have come to the airport for dropping my sis or parents off but haven’t actually got in but this time I went in, actually, I explored in. My parents were waiting and talking about what to do in Delhi where I was just taking pictures inside the airport with my Redmi Note 5 Pro camera and was childishly cheering up my photography skills. After some time, we got into the flight around 9:00 am and it was almost 3 ...

A Journey around the hotspots in the City of Visakhapatnam

We went to Visakhapatnam on 8 th  April 2016 and on reaching the city we relaxed at the rented house where my father was residing, a few years before, he actually got retired and came back home. After a quick rest, we went to Simhachalam Temple which is 9km from the city center and the temple is an ornate shrine that is revered to be one of the most important temples in the region. The edifice is perched atop a hill 800 meters above sea level and is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, who is an incarnation of Vishnu himself. The temple is embellished with extremely detailed stone carvings and designs that can be stopped from a distance only. Also, this is said to be the only temple in the country where Shri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swami appeared. The temple has detailed prayer routines for all days and it is a treasure of traditional Vaishnavite culture. Interestingly, the state of the deity appears in its true form only for 12 hours per year on the day of Akshaya Tritiya and on any othe...
